A traveller have posted a video of himself and colleagues stranded on their way to Owerri. Their bus had come to a halt after sporadic gunshots where heard all over the neighbouring community. Inquiries led them to discover the ongoing political crisis in the state, had led to a gun battle. He warned those traveling to Imo state to be wary and cautious, and if possible, defer their travel plans for the time being. He further asked for prayers for him and his colleagues.

Aside from this, Imo state had been in the news lately for insecurity reasons. The burning of police stations, and the death of ESN leader Ikosi (which have plunged the aggrieved ESN faithfuls into an emotional reevaluation of their stance and method of appraoch towards their agitation) have all added up to increase the entropic fate of the state.
